Step 1: Drawing Submission & Review
Before any physical work or installation begins, your proposed layouts must be submitted and approved.
- Process: Your designs are submitted through the official Dubai Civil Defence (DCD) Portal. This must be done via a DCD-approved fire safety contractor or consultant.
- Key Drawings: Includes floor plans, MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing), fire alarm/sprinkler layouts, and emergency lighting.
Step 2: Site Inspection & Final Clearance
Once physical installation or fit-out is complete, an inspection must be scheduled to verify that the work aligns with the approved drawings.
- Testing: Officers will test the systems under live conditions (fire pumps, alarm panels, and emergency lighting).
- System Connectivity: The site’s fire alarm panels must be directly integrated into the Hassantuk smart monitoring system.
- Completion Certificate: Upon passing, the DCD issues a Completion Certificate, which is required to obtain or renew your trade license and legally operate.
Required Documents
Applications require both property and company documents. While exact requirements scale with the project, you typically need:
- Trade License (for the operating company)
- NOC from the building owner or management company
- Tenancy Contract / Ejari or Title Deed
- Detailed affection plan (plot drawing)
- Copy of the Fit-out Permit
- A valid Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) for the fire equipment
